Overview of Several Printer Parameters
These parameters may partly be void only with the current firmware.
Thus a firmware update may be necessary.
Auto Recovery
The option autorecovery make sense if the application software do not or not
sufficiently enough care about event/status handling.
If the autorecovery is active (and after the reason for error was solved) every closing
of the printer cover will lead to an automatic resolving (apart from the application
software).
Max. Power / Power-ID
The power indentification function (power ID) of the printer will automatically
recognize power supply units from Wincor Nixdorf or via Wincor Nixdorf hosiden
cable connected BEETLE systems and thus the max. allowed power consumption
(max. power). This recognition is represented in the parameter “max. power” as
“AUTO” plus the identified value (only PoweredUSB is represented with a fixed value
of 75W).
With a power supply unit not released by Wincor Nixdorf or or with damaged
cables /plugs the recognition of the power ID fails. The parameter “max. power” will
be set to the lowest possible value of 48W. The status will be indicated by a green
LED blinking.
Check the hardware (power supply unit; cable, plugs) and set the parameter to a fixed
value according to the capacity of the power supply unit connected. If a fixed value is
set on the parameter the green LED is not blinking.
Idle Mode (Energy Saving Option/ Sleep Mode)
If the “idle mode” is activated the printer will reduce the current consumption after
the lapse of the “waiting time” under the following conditions: no print, no cut, no
cover open or no pressing the feed button during the “waiting time”. The state of the
“idle mode” will be indicated by a flashing green LED (the LED extintinguishes and
lights up approx. every nine seconds for a short period of times).
Receipt Shooting
Receipt shooting allows to store the print data in the printer and print them in a
strech. Thus the printer allows a fluent print with maximal speed even if the
application prints the articles separately and linewise. A cut command or a full buffer
(approx. 3500 byte) can initiate a printout.
